Cllr Darius Laws elected Leader of Conservative Group for 2022-23

 Cllr Darius Laws was elected Conservative Group Leader at the Conservative Group Annual meeting on 7th May 2022, taking the reins with an objective to get the Tories back into power.

As the official opposition party, we will make sure the Council delivers council services that are “value for money”, protects our beautiful countryside and take a holistic view of regeneration for the historic town centre of Colchester.

Darius concluded: "My children motivate my involvement. When they are my age I want them and the rest of the country to speak about Colchester in the same vein as we do about historic Viking York and Roman Bath."
